This channel is the home of The American Good Film Festival, an international Esperanto short film competition which was started by Alex Miller in 2021. Catie Neilson became the second host of the festival in 2024. This contest, known in Esperanto as La Usona Bona Film-Festivalo, is free to enter, open to filmmakers of any country, and has given out over $21,000 (USD) in prizes. The films have to be less than five minutes long and entirely in Esperanto with at least ten unique spoken words and a visible required prop that is announced at the start of each festival. All the films are available to watch for free on our channel and most of them have optional English subtitles. Subscribe to the channel to stay informed about our future competitions.

While the festival only lasts a few months at a time, Esperanto-USA helps people in the United States all year long by organizing in-person events at the local and national level (such as simultaneous club gatherings for Parallel Universe Day and our annual national conferences held in a different city each year). We also help by providing resources to learn the language and points of contact for Esperanto-speakers visiting the US, as well as support for American Esperantists to travel internationally using Esperanto.
