Esperanto is a language known for being easy and structured, with many online resources available. Despite Esperanto’s unique features that can help learners make rapid progress, many courses fail to take advantage of them.
In this workshop, we will explore the “Zagreb method”, which teaches Esperanto using the 500 most frequent morphemes (=meaningful word parts), that make up 95% of spoken Esperanto. For their effective memorization, an Anki deck with all of them is provided. Grammar is taught through concrete examples, focusing only on what is necessary for basic communication. Additionally, you can choose to learn Esperanto from one of 29 languages, adding some spice to your learning.
We will dive into its first lessons together, get familiar with the basics and interactively solve exercises on our mobile devices or laptops. Advanced Esperanto learners, speakers and teachers are also welcome, as the course is licensed under copyleft and constantly improved by volunteers – so you can become one and help improve the course.
