In a different reality the Great War never happened (1914-1918), and we live in a better world. The anticipated tenth (10th) Esperanto World Congress, was suspended, Zamenhof, and many people had to endure severe hardship returning home, they were already on their way to the Congress. The hostilities put a damper on the Esperanto movement, and on civilization itself, not counting the millions of death and injured. Now this Pin 📌 is a symbol of hope, and of the possibilities for a better Tomorrow, and a remainder of options that improve everything. Peace, strength, civilization, they come at a price in effort and courage. You can see in it the year in Roman numerals the Eiffel tower, the river Seine, a victory column, “Xa KONGRESO PARIS”, the Esperanto Star, laurel wreaths, etc. Cheers
