In 2023, I brought my camcorder to this event and Sasha’s son was kind enough to film and interview people after the film screening part was over. He had just had his first-ever film shown to a live audience and it later ended up winning the Audience Choice Award! This is basically just a charming home video showing my friendly and talented buddies who have won many awards from The American Good Film Festival over the years. Fortunately, Catie (who appears here) agreed to host the 6th festival in 2024 which was also a success. You can watch the full screening of that Red Carpet event here: https://youtu.be/5THZW9R7SZM
We don’t have any announcements yet for the 7th festival but it will likely take place in the summer of 2025. Catie has agreed to host that one but after that, we will once again need a new host or the entire festival will come to an end. As long as we cross the 200-film threshold in 2025, I’d be fine with letting that happen. If YOU are interested in hosting and keeping this tradition alive, let me know in the comment section below.
