*“Saluton” is a haunting yet emotional song that tells the story of a lonely child who begins hearing whispers from under their bed. The mysterious voice repeatedly greets them with “Saluton” (which means “Hello” in Esperanto), trying to lure them into a conversation. At first, the child is terrified, but as the song progresses, they start questioning their own reality. Is this voice a friend, a ghost, or a fragment of their own loneliness? The lines between dreams and reality blur as they are drawn deeper into the eerie presence.
As the song reaches its climax, the child pleads for the voice to leave them alone. However, when the voice finally says “Gis Revido” (which means “Goodbye” in Esperanto), the child realizes they don’t want it to go. The story ends with the child waking up—was it all a dream, or did they truly lose someone who understood them?*
