This film was originally made for the Kick The Ladder filmmaking challenge and then reshot a week later. The rules for that week were #KTL32W so the film could be up to a minute long, had to be shot within 3 days, and it had to include footage from someone over 100 miles away. In the original version, one of the brothers was looking at a video on his phone at the beginning which satisfied the 100 miles away rule.
This short film was shot on the Canon M50 using Canon’s 40mm EF pancake lens and the 50mm f/1.8 from Yongnuo along with the Viltrox Speedbooster. The wide shot was done in 4K on the 50mm which doubled the crop and essentially zoomed in tighter since the neighboring dock with the camera on it was so far away.
