TGR’s latest action-packed mountain bike film “Esperanto” explores how we share our dreams through a universal two-wheeled language no matter what our native tongue may be. The sacred ritual of the ride might sound different all across the world – whether it’s a full-face getting pulled down to drop into a big jump line or wheeling a beat-up bike out of a mud hut to pedal to school – but it’s a universal process no matter what language we speak.
Of all the segments in “Esperanto”, Tomomi Nishikubo’s undoubtedly stands out the most. The Japanese trials rider takes his precision bike handling skills to the streets of Tokyo in a mind-blowing performance.
Filming the segment was a massive challenge, with Japan closed due to Covid restrictions. Nevertheless, Tomomi could get it done with a local film crew and the help of his Canyon Spectral CF 27.5 bike. Let them take you behind the scenes of making this video happen…
