Here’s one of my strategies for getting more Esperanto films made for The American Good Film Festival this year. https://ttt.esperanto-usa.org/eusa/film_festival/en
As you’ve seen on my channel lately, I often participate in the “Kick the Ladder” challenge that my friends host in Atlanta, Georgia where we make new 1-minute-or-less short films every week and roll 3 dice to determine additional rules each time. http://kicktheladder.com/
This week, one of the rules is that our films have to include an unaltered clock showing 11:48 in real time. That overlaps with the Esperanto contest’s rule of featuring a visible watch or clock so I’m encouraging these filmmakers to consider adapting their films into Esperanto and entering them in our contest.
If you’d be interested in translating or proofreading an Esperanto short film script or you’d be willing to record your voice for use in an Esperanto short film, send an email telling me that to esperantokonkurso@gmail.com and mention the specifics of your audio equipment or fluency level. I think this could be a great way for talented filmmakers to collaborate with experienced language learners.
I shared this video directly within the private Facebook group for this local event in Atlanta. I’m sharing it here on YouTube as well mainly to document the promotional efforts and history of what has already become the largest film festival in the history of the Esperanto movement.
